Summary

M.A.D., which stands for Missile Attack and Defense, is an arcade action game with gameplay reminiscent of Missile Command. You take control of a photon cannon positioned at the bottom of the screen, with the objective of defending six energy stations located on either side. As waves of rockets and enemy ships pass across the screen, some will descend in an effort to destroy the stations. On most levels, enemies will turn white as a warning just before they drop. It's up to you to shoot them down before they cause damage. If all six energy stations are destroyed, the game ends. A two-player mode is also available, where one player controls the photon cannon while the other uses a cursor to determine when and where enemies will drop. In this version, the players switch between offensive and defensive roles.
