Summary
The DS-exclusive adventure mode includes a storyline where Dr. Eggman and Bowser melt all the ice required for the Olympic Games. To fix the situation, Mario and Sonic must journey to various locations, interact with the locals, and complete challenges. These challenges are made up of sports mini-games with specific victory conditions. Completing this mode also unlocks the dream events. In addition, players have the option to join the party game mode or play individual games separately in a custom tournament. All modes except the adventure mode support up to four players.
