Summary

Each Super Mario Advance title features a remake of Mario Bros., along with Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. All these games are compatible with one another, allowing up to four players to play either Classic or Battle mode. Classic mode is inspired by the co-op gameplay of the original and incorporates the Japanese arcade phase structure. Battle mode is based on the Battle Game from Super Mario All-Stars. The remake also supports the GBA's Single-Pak multiplayer function, enabling play with other GBA systems even if they don't have the game installed—though only Battle mode can be played this way. The GBA version of Mario Bros. improves the visuals to showcase the GBA's 32-bit power, such as by adding stage backgrounds. It also introduces new movement features and enhanced controls for mid-air maneuvers.
