Mario Kart Wii is an unreleased enhanced version of the original Wii title, intended solely for release in China on the Nvidia Shield console. It was part of a group of Nintendo games brought to the platform through a partnership between Nintendo and Nvidia, featuring 1080p resolution and gameplay modified to function without motion controls. All the Nintendo titles included in this agreement operated on customized versions of the Dolphin emulator, enabling the various enhancements and adjustments. This version was ultimately never made available to the public.
