Summary

Marvel's Midnight Suns: The Hunger is the second downloadable content expansion for Marvel's Midnight Suns, launched in January 2023. This addition brings Morbius, the Living Vampire, into the game as a fully playable hero. Morbius offers a distinctive array of vampire-inspired abilities, emphasizing life-draining strikes, enhanced speed, and other supernatural powers. The expansion features new story missions that explore Morbius's conflict with Lilith's forces and his internal battle with his vampiric identity.

Storyline

As the vampyres turn Hydra soldiers and launch an assault on New York, Spider-Man persuades Blade to assist him in enlisting a shared contact, Dr. Michael Morbius. The two heroes join Morbius at his laboratory, only to discover that the vampyres have taken his research and a prototype "sunlight serum" designed to reduce their deadly sensitivity to sunlight. After fending off a group of vampyres sent to kill Morbius and destroy his remaining work, Spider-Man proposes that Morbius take refuge at the Abbey, despite Blade and the Hunter's hesitation. Realizing the vampyres plan to mass-produce the serum, Spider-Man tracks down a Hydra base under siege by vampyres led by Sin. He, Morbius, and the Hunter rush to intervene and reclaim the prototype, though they arrive too late to stop Sin from delivering multiple completed versions of the serum to Dracula. During the battle against Dracula and his enhanced forces, the heroes uncover that the vampyres had weakened the serum by diluting Morbius' original formula during production. Ultimately, Dracula is forced to retreat into the sewers after being defeated.
