Summary

For the past several years, an epic battle for control of the planet has been waged. Over and over, Mega Man, the cybernetic hero of justice, has faced off against the sinister Dr. Wily and his rogue army of robots. And every time, Mega Man has come out on top! Now, in a last-ditch effort to rewrite history, Dr. Wily has activated a time machine to return to the era of his earliest clashes with Mega Man. There, he intends to ensure that this time, Mega Man will never have existed!

Storyline

The compilation's story centers on the villainous Dr. Wily, who constructs a time machine to journey back in time with the goal of defeating the robotic hero Mega Man in one of their earliest battles. To counter Dr. Wily's plan, Mega Man is sent to the past in a time machine hastily built by Dr. Light, forcing him to re-experience his earlier missions. In these, Wily unleashes a group of formidable robots with world domination in mind, and once again, Mega Man must stop them alone. After completing his time-traveling journey, Mega Man must apply all his knowledge and confront the Wily Tower.
