More than a century ago, in the powerful Shogun era, the Lord of Darkness dispatched his terrifying army to terrorize the Japanese countryside. Empowered by the Dark Lord’s formidable magic, his wicked followers spread famine, disease, and suffering wherever they marched, crushing the once-peaceful people into despair and submission. Anyone who dared to oppose the cruel Lord was brutally executed, a grim warning to others who might consider defiance. Then, one day during meditation, the great Shogun, Tokugawa, received a divine vision showing a band of valiant warriors rising to vanquish the evil ruler. Without hesitation, he began the search for the five most courageous and skilled fighters in the land. After months of seeking, he was finally prepared to bring his vision to life. The time had come to unleash the Mercenary Force.
