After the conclusion of Battle Clash, the Battle Game Chiefs were vanquished. Yet peace did not follow, as new Chiefs and new machines emerged to take control of the world. As before, these Chiefs command massive robots known as Standing Tanks (STs). Witnessing the world in turmoil, the hero pilots who once defeated the Battle Chiefs resolve to rejoin the Battle Game, this time piloting an upgraded version of their ST, the Falcon. The secrets of the Battle Game will lead the Falcon far beyond Earth, into the depths of space... Metal Combat: Falcon's Revenge is a first-person shooter developed for the Super Scope Light Gun. The gameplay mirrors that of Battle Clash. Players assume the role of the gunner aboard a giant robot, with movement controlled automatically by the game, scrolling the environment. The objective is to keep enemy robots in the crosshairs and fire at various sections, while also fending off enemy missiles and counterattacks. Every robot has a critical weak point that, when targeted, deals increased damage. Power-ups like Neutron Beams and Plasma Bombs can be collected after completing specific stages and equipped at the start of each battle.
Three years have passed since Mike Anderson defeated Anubis. A new era of peace and growth is beginning, with many of Earth's great cities rising once more. But just as suddenly as he vanished after his defeat, Anubis has returned, determined to reclaim his reign of terror. Once again, players must join forces with Mike to stop Anubis and prevent him from plunging the world back into darkness. As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that Anubis is only a fragment of a far greater danger. A powerful alien species known as the Eltorians has arrived with the intent to conquer Earth. The defense of the entire Solar System now rests in the hands of those willing to stand against them. In the final act, a massive alien warship named "Eltoria" appears, and it is there that Mike must confront Anubis in a climactic battle.
