Storyline

Metal Gear Solid 2: Two years after the Shadow Moses Incident, Solid Snake and Otacon, operating under Philanthropy, learn of a new Metal Gear being moved along the Hudson River. When Snake infiltrates the cargo ship, it is suddenly taken over by a band of Russian mercenaries led by Revolver Ocelot, who aim to steal the prototype. Another two years pass, and the Big Shell, an offshore oil rig built to replace the original site, is seized by a rebel group known as the Sons of Liberty. FOXHOUND's newest operative, Raiden, is dispatched to stop them. But the situation proves more complex than it appears. Metal Gear Solid 3: In 1964, CIA operative Naked Snake is deployed to Tselinoyarsk, USSR. With the help of Major Zero, Para-Medic, and his former instructor The Boss, Snake is assigned to rescue defector Sokolov, a Soviet scientist secretly working on a nuclear-powered tank called the Shagohod. Snake finds and protects Sokolov, but The Boss reveals she is defecting to the USSR, delivering two Davy Crockett warheads to Colonel Volgin. Sokolov is captured by the Cobra Unit, and Snake is pushed off a bridge by The Boss. Volgin then hijacks the Shagohod and detonates one of the warheads to hide his theft, which is later blamed on The Boss. Wounded, Snake is extracted using a Fulton recovery system. Metal Gear Solid - Peace Walker: Peace Walker begins on November 4, 1974. Big Boss leads his own private military force in Colombia after leaving the U.S. following the events of Portable Ops. A secretive paramilitary group, the "Peace Sentinels," has been stationed in Costa Rica, armed with an impressive arsenal. Despite their overwhelming firepower, the Costa Rican government is powerless to act due to a constitutional ban on a standing military.
