Summary
Metal Max 2 is the second installment in the Metal Max series. It is a vehicle-based combat RPG developed by Data East and released in Japan for the Super Famicom in 1993. A decade later, Now Production released a revised version for the Game Boy Advance titled Metal Max 2 Kai, featuring a few new bounties. On December 8, 2011, a complete remake with enhanced visuals, similar to Metal Max 3 and built on its game engine, was launched in Japan for the Nintendo DS under the name Metal Max 2 ReLOADED. The remake introduced a shared inventory system, the option to play as a female, okama, or reijin character, new character classes, subclasses, and skills borrowed from Metal Max 3, additional characters, bounties, bosses, side quests, locations, items, and vehicles, an expanded story with deeper character and monster backstories, increased difficulty compared to the SNES and GBA versions, a third form for the final boss, and a new game+ mode.
