Modern Fairway 4: Spec Ops in the Rough is a first-person shooter that doubles as a golf game. Pick your weapon from a range of intimidating firepower and blast a harmless little golf ball across the Kansas and Phoenix Opens to land a hole in one—or a hole in 20k, whatever works. Time's a-wasting—your country needs you! Created for Ludum Dare 41 (Combine 2 incompatible genres)

Storyline

Hunker down, trooper! You're about to be thrown into enemy territory, and the only way you're making it out is by trusting your gut and refusing to back down from a fight. You'll be armed with top-of-the-line, devastating firepower. Then you'll blast that pesky golf ball until its puny, yellow-bellied hide drops into the hole. Par? That's for wimps! John Wayne didn't worry about par. The .45 Iron, Bolt Action Driver (+scope), and Fully Automatic Golf Gun (FAL Wood) will let you unleash hell on that little white troublemaker all the way to the flag. And don’t worry, we’ll keep track of your strokes for you, soldier! Stay alert for charming landscapes and deadly environmental traps—like innocent-looking trees and rocks that just want to ruin your day.
