Summary

One evening after leaving a baseball game, Mark looked up at the cloudy sky. Suddenly, a burning star crashed down to the ground, glowing intensely. When Mark could finally see again, a strange being was standing in front of him. The being shared a chilling story about his home world, the Dark World, where cruel monsters were terrorizing innocent people. He was looking throughout the galaxy for a hero who could rescue them from their suffering. The being told Mark that his baseball bat was the ideal weapon to fight the evil creatures. Mark thought about the offer for a moment, then accepted the risky quest. After all, he figured, it's way better than going to school!
