Summary
Monsters vs. Aliens is a 2009 video game inspired by the movie of the same title. It launched on March 24, 2009, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2, and Wii.
Created by Beenox for all platforms except the Nintendo DS, which was handled by Amaze Entertainment, the game lets players experience key moments from the film as Ginormica, B.O.B., and The Missing Link, with support for drop-in/drop-out cooperative play.
A major highlight is the return of Reese Witherspoon, Seth Rogen, Will Arnett, and Rainn Wilson in their roles from the movie, although Hugh Laurie and Kiefer Sutherland are absent, replaced by James Horan and Fred Tatasciore.
This marks the final DreamWorks Animation game to appear on PlayStation 2.
It also represents the last DreamWorks Animation title developed by Beenox.
