Summary

Having mastered the darkest sorcery of the Netherrealm, Quan Chi teams up with Shang Tsung to launch a campaign of realm-wide domination. This collection features the playable character Quan Chi, complete with brand-new combat techniques. Quan Chi returns as a playable fighter, having previously appeared in Mortal Kombat X as part of the original character lineup.

Storyline

Quan Chi was thrust into a life of toil in an Outworld mine, where his only fate was a slow, inevitable death in its suffocating depths. To gain the mine owner’s favor, Quan Chi betrayed his fellow laborers who were organizing a revolt. The uprising was crushed, and many rebels perished. Those who lived refused to let the injustice fade. They vowed revenge against Quan Chi. Quan Chi’s life was spared by a secret patron. In return for his loyalty, she promised to rescue him from the mines and teach him the forbidden arts of dark magic. Quan Chi embraced the offer without hesitation. Now a powerful practitioner of the Netherrealm’s most sinister sorcery, Quan Chi aligns with Shang Tsung in a bid to dominate the realms. He will stop at nothing to achieve his ambitions.
