Summary

The Japanese original of EarthBound Beginnings, which was released exclusively on the Famicom in Japan, featured variations in gameplay, story, and level design compared to the later Western release. This initial version was never made available outside Japan.

Storyline

Mother follows the young Ninten as he harnesses his great-grandfather's research into psychic abilities to battle hostile, once-inanimate objects and other foes. His journey introduces him to new allies and ultimately reveals an alien scheme that must be thwarted.
