Summary

MotorStorm: Apocalypse, known as MotorStorm 3 in Asia, is a 2011 3D racing video game developed by Evolution Studios and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 3. It serves as the fourth entry in the MotorStorm series and the third installment on the PlayStation 3. The game was revealed just before the start of the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2010 through a post on the PlayStation Blog by Evolution Studios on June 10, 2010. MotorStorm: Apocalypse hit European shelves on March 16, 2011, but its UK release, originally set for March 18, was postponed by Sony Computer Entertainment UK in response to the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Australia's launch proceeded as scheduled on March 17, though Sony later announced it would pause additional shipments to the region due to the disaster. The North American release, initially planned for April 12, 2011, was also delayed. Sony later confirmed revised dates: March 31, 2011, for the UK and May 3, 2011, for North America.
