Step into the shoes of Yasogami Kaoru, the youngest Class A detective in the International Detective League of Associations (IDLA), as you tackle complex cases that leave seasoned officers scratching their heads. The game is divided into episodes, yet the storylines are deeply intertwined, with a rich network of relationships that makes uncovering the truth and the perpetrator's motives a true test of your skills. The game consists of four episodes and a prologue. The prologue showcases Kaoru's talents as he cracks a murder mystery aboard a luxury cruise ship. The main story begins in the first episode when Kaoru is assigned by IDLA Director Connor to track down the legendary detective Agyou Sohma, who has gone missing. To get closer to the truth, Kaoru assumes the identity of a Class D detective and infiltrates Sohma's Shiawase Detective Agency. Matters grow even more complicated when the agency takes on a case from a client named Mrs. Toudou to capture the elusive thief known as Sapphire. After resolving Mrs. Toudou's case while still in disguise, Kaoru is handed another mystery in episode two: uncovering the cause of a deadly fire that claimed lives at a local church, and deciphering the cryptic message left behind by the deceased pastor. In episode three, Kaoru faces a challenge from another Class A detective to identify a murderer hidden among five hypnotized individuals. The ultimate test comes in the final episode, where top Class A detectives from around the globe are invited to the abandoned mansion of Baron Kazamatsuri to solve a predicted murder case. Agyou Sohma's name appears on the guest list, and old adversaries like the enigmatic thief Sapphire return. Will Kaoru be able to solve—or even stop—the murder and finally locate Agyou Sohma in this climactic showdown?
