Summary

The nameless main character is diagnosed with lung cancer just after turning twenty and is soon placed in hospice care at a hospital in Mito, Ibaraki. There, he meets Setsumi, a woman two years his senior, who is also facing a terminal illness. Discovering that neither wants to spend their final days in the hospital or at home with their families, they decide to escape together in a silver Honda Integra that belongs to the protagonist's father.
