Summary

Need for Speed Underground for the GBA is built around the same edgy, underground racing aesthetic introduced in the console versions. In this version, players can take on other racers in various driving styles to earn cash, which can then be used to upgrade their cars. The GBA edition includes a garage with fourteen officially licensed vehicles from Ford, Toyota, Volkswagen, Nissan, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Subaru, and Acura, each of which can be personalized with custom paint, bumpers, decals, wheels, ground effects, and more. As you progress deeper into the Underground, you'll unlock additional features to help build the most modified street machine ever seen. Most races are standard, with players competing against up to three opponents. There are also Drag races, where speed is key on straightaways, and Drift races, where players earn points by sliding through turns. Each victory earns a cash prize that can be spent on performance or visual upgrades for your car.
