V-Rally is a rally racing game originally created by Eden Studios for the PlayStation, released in North America by Electronic Arts under the name Need for Speed: V-Rally. It was later adapted for PC, N64, Game Boy, and Game Boy Color. The game includes 11 licensed rally cars and over 40 tracks that change with dynamic weather, terrain, and time-of-day effects. Players can adjust vehicle settings like suspension, gear ratios, and steering before taking part in one of three primary game modes: Arcade, Championship, and Time Trial. In Arcade mode, players progress through challenges sorted by difficulty, each containing four stages. Championship mode offers an eight-race series where points are given for top-three placements, while Time Trial mode challenges players to beat the clock or another car for the quickest time.
