Summary

NHL 12 is an ice hockey video game created by EA Canada and released by EA Sports. It hit the shelves from September 8 to 13, 2011, in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and North America. The title was showcased at the 2011 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). On June 22, 2011, during the NHL Awards Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, Steven Stamkos was revealed as the cover star of the game. NHL 12 introduces more realistic goalie interactions, allowing players to engage in physical contact with goalies and even initiate fights between goalies and skaters. It also features an enhanced physics system, a refined Be a Pro mode, and the option to participate in the 2011 NHL Winter Classic. As with NHL 11, the commentary is handled by Gary Thorne for play-by-play and Bill Clement for color analysis.
