NHL 2K11 is an ice hockey video game created by Visual Concepts and released by 2K Sports. The game was revealed on March 3, 2010, as a title exclusive to the Wii. It marked the first NHL 2K entry since NHL 2K7 that did not launch on the PlayStation 3, the first since NHL 2K6 without an Xbox 360 version, the first since NHL 2K3 to skip the PlayStation 2, and the final NHL 2K game to appear on the Wii, as the following title in the series was only made available for iOS and Android platforms. Take-Two chairman Strauss Zelnick stated, "As far as NHL, we're taking a year off on PS3 and Xbox 360 to refine, redesign and re-think." Vancouver Canucks forward Ryan Kesler appears on the cover of NHL 2K11.
