Summary
NHL 2K is a line of hockey video games developed by 2K Sports for platforms including the Dreamcast, PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube, Xbox, iPhone, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii. After being discontinued following the 2010 launch of NHL 2K11, the franchise was brought back in 2014 with a mobile release. The titles are officially licensed by the National Hockey League and the NHL Players Association. Although the games were available on consoles, they primarily competed against EA Sports' NHL series.
