Storyline

SpongeBob and Patrick are creating bubbles when a mysterious portal suddenly appears and sucks Patrick inside. A second portal opens, and a voice from the unknown urges SpongeBob to enter to rescue Patrick, causing him to leap in without hesitation. After traversing multiple bizarre worlds, SpongeBob locates Patrick, who is now furious and turns on him. SpongeBob manages to calm Patrick down, restoring his usual self, and together they are transported to a hidden realm known as the Timeless Stardial, where they meet the one who called for SpongeBob, Clockwork. Clockwork reveals that Vlad Plasmius has acquired the ability to mentally control others and now aims to dominate all beings across every universe. Clockwork gives the duo a time medallion, enabling them to rewind time if they're defeated in battle, and sends them off to liberate more allies from Vlad's grasp.
