Summary

Lost Vikings 2 is a side-scrolling platform adventure where players take turns controlling three of the five playable characters, guiding each from the level's starting point to the exit while collecting three essential items along the way. The game determines in advance which characters are available for each level. Players can switch between characters at any time. In two-player cooperative mode, each player controls one character and can also take over the third, unused character whenever needed. Each level is crafted so that every character's unique abilities are essential to helping the others reach the end. To complete a level, all three characters must make it to the exit with all three items collected.

Storyline

After escaping Tomator in The Lost Vikings, Erik the Swift, Olaf the Stout, and Baleog the Fierce have enjoyed happy and rewarding lives as Vikings. But one day, upon returning from a fishing adventure, the trio is captured once more by Tomator. This time, Tomator summons a robotic enforcer to take them to the Arena, but the plan goes awry when a system malfunction occurs. During the power outage, the three Vikings take apart the robot, piece by piece, and equip themselves with its components, unlocking powerful new abilities. Accidentally hurled through time once again, Erik, Olaf, and Baleog must now travel through each level in search of a way back home. On their journey, they meet a werewolf named Fang and a dragon named Scorch, who both join them and lend their help in the quest.
