Storyline

This is the tale of a species, a people – our people, the humans. Interestingly, the story has not yet occurred, but it must still be told. At some point in time, you will realize that time flows in parallel, that all that was in the past shapes the present, and the present is the foundation for the future. A method has been discovered to visit the past without changing the future. Because one can only alter the future by living it. This may be difficult to grasp, but it is true. Only when you know that something has happened can you change it, because it then becomes part of your own past. From that point on, you will simply vanish, no changes will occur, because it is already the past – your past. It began in the year 2250 – the year "alpha" – when the first human took the risk of an interstellar journey lasting more than three minutes, traveling farther than any probe had before. It was a new type of engine, the impulse engine, which enabled humanity to travel at the speed of light. Yes, there had been earlier space missions, but they were limited, just a glimpse into the stars compared to the later achievements. Yet, humanity's natural drive for exploration continued to push technological progress, gradually extending the reach of space travel over the years. Modern engines used highly energetic deuterium fuel, allowing ships to traverse from galaxy to galaxy in relatively short periods. Unfortunately, this deuterium was extremely rare; on Earth, only 0.015% of all water was in the form of this heavy isotope. Later, even the best deuterium proved insufficient, sparking a new scientific debate on how to create a better fuel than deuterium itself. Based on a well-known theory, it was believed possible to combine deuterium with a mysterious gas emitted by a quasar's explosion. The quantum-chemical reaction from this mixture would release enormous amounts of energy, so much so that ships could travel even faster. Scientist Fred Terrane took up the challenge and began designing an engine based on this theory. Despite widespread scientific skepticism, the new propulsion system eventually proved the theory correct – even though, by current scientific understanding, it shouldn't have worked. In real-world applications, the new technology lived up to its promises, making space travel more accessible and faster for civilizations across the galaxy. There was more than enough space and worlds to colonize, and so peace and prosperity quickly spread across the universe, lasting for many decades. New cultures were discovered and created, and life expanded into every corner of space. The universe was bright and at peace. But it was the calm before the storm... Even during this golden age, research continued into new and faster propulsion technologies. Drawing from old theories and combined with the enthusiasm of a young student, a revolutionary propulsion system was developed that surpassed all previous knowledge – the Hyper-space engine. Essentially, a hyper-dimensional bubble existing in the fourth and fifth dimensions, yet isolating its interior from these influences and obeying the laws of four-dimensional space. It allowed a narrow view of the galaxy in the direction of travel. With this groundbreaking technology, explorers could venture deeper into space, and colonization accelerated due to reduced travel times. A new era began, development speeds increased, and many new worlds were discovered. Diplomacy flourished in these times, and conflicts between species were rare. Until a previously unknown chemical element, named Xentronium, was discovered on a human colony. The war was about to begin... This element was incredibly rare, and in the first years after its discovery, only 1.5 micrograms could be extracted. Since it was found on human soil, only Terran laboratories could study it. Xentronium was believed to hold the energy of 10,000 Terran suns per microgram! Once this knowledge spread across the cosmos, envy and hostility emerged from the shadows, sparking conflicts that eventually led to war. Soon, two factions formed: those supporting the Terran faction and those opposing it. It was Nostradamus who once predicted the war would last 150 years, but reality proved him wrong, as the war raged for over 300 years. Thousands of civilizations were torn apart, fell, or were completely erased. The opposing side of the Terran Federation began using a devastating weapon known as the "Omega Bomb." As the name implies, this bomb could erase entire sections of a galaxy, annihilating all civilizations within. Centuries after the new time system and the year Alpha was established, the universe faced the most dangerous and deadly weapons ever created. One by one, solar systems were destroyed and literally erased. Calculations predicted that only 24 years after the first Omega Bomb was deployed, all known space would be wiped out, leaving behind a lifeless void. Only a few managed to survive, and even fewer were able to escape through wormholes and venture into new regions of the universe – but it was a one-way journey for them. A new beginning With great relief, the survivors found themselves in a completely different universe, one they had never encountered before. Interestingly, they discovered only a single planet in the entire region, as far as their instruments could see. They dared to settle on this piece of cosmic driftwood and encountered a strange life-form, a people known as the "Legorians." The newcomers were welcomed, and the Legorians possessed a comparable level of technology. Eventually, the Legorians agreed to allow the strangers to settle in the vicinity of their homeworld. However, two conditions were set: Every nation, every race, would be allowed to colonize only nine planets, ensuring others had the opportunity to establish new civilizations after the long conflict and their escape. The second condition was the creation of a senate on the homeworld of every rising empire, allowing people to debate and discuss matters. Naturally, the nations and their representatives accepted these terms and even formed trade alliances and defense forces to maintain peace and fairness. A new civilization was born... You might now be wondering why we chose to tell you this story. The answer is simple: it is for you to join us in building the future! Follow us and see what YOU can accomplish with a nation that awaits a new emperor, ready to grow and succeed! This task will demand much from you, and the times will not always be peaceful, but it is up to you to take your place in this part of the universe and secure a respected position among the empires. Step through this time portal with us and experience a world full of new possibilities and a vast future. It may be challenging at times, and at others, it may be easy, but your will and strength can shape a powerful and prosperous nation. I will leave you now... hoping you will join us... yet the choice is yours... Dare to do it!
