Each pilot has unique strengths and weaknesses. You might prefer one that’s fast, one that can take a beating, or one that simply looks the part. Every pilot also needs a strong vehicle—specifically, a robot. You battle other piloted machines. Winning earns you money, and with that money, you can purchase upgrades and take on tougher opponents. The game’s economy is simple, but it adds a fresh twist to the traditional fighting game experience. The story behind the robot-fighting tournaments centers around powerful multinational corporations. One of these, World Aeronautics and Robotics (WAR), controls the whole operation. WAR began as a research institute, developing human-assisted robots for space exploration. Their first prototypes were activated in 2009 and quickly deployed by a group of companies from Japanamerica to construct the first ACTIVE space station. The HAR units were superior to traditional robots because they were fully controlled by a single human whose brain operated the robot’s systems remotely. The "pilot" essentially "became" the robot, for all practical purposes, without any risk to the pilot. By the end of the 21st century, you have the chance to make history.
