Summary

Operation Flashpoint: Resistance is an add-on to the original game, featuring a new campaign, a brand-new 100km sq. island, and an upgraded graphics engine that supports higher resolution textures in-game.

Storyline

Victor Troska, a former Special Forces soldier, has settled into a quiet civilian life on the island of Nogova, a once-socialist enclave of the Soviet Union now left in ruins. At first, the novelty of freedom is exhilarating, but as corruption spreads and crime takes root, some voices begin to long for the return of Soviet rule. Nogova lies just off the coast of the Malden Islands, where untouched natural beauty contrasts sharply with urban areas still scarred by decades of socialist ideology and its rigid way of life. Everything changes when a Soviet force invades the island, shattering Troska’s peaceful existence. Though hesitant to return to battle, he is drawn back into the fight and eventually takes command of the growing but disorganized Resistance, formed in defiance of the occupying forces.
