Summary
Whistleblower begins the narrative that sets Outlast in motion, extending beyond the first game to reveal the definitive conclusion to the events at Mount Massive Asylum. Outlast: Whistleblower centers on Waylon Park, the software engineer contracted by Murkoff Corporation who sends out emails to journalists worldwide—including Miles Upshur—at the start of Outlast. You’ll encounter Waylon a few weeks into his stay at Mount Massive, where he’s been cut off from his wife and son due to tight security measures. As his confidence in the profit-driven scientists and physicians conducting reckless and unethical experiments on patients erodes, Waylon triggers a chain of events that ultimately exposes the sinister truth at the heart of Mount Massive.
