Painkiller: Overdose

Summary

Painkiller: Overdose is the second standalone entry in the Painkiller series. The story takes place right after Daniel defeats Lucifer. With Hell's ruler dead, Belial, a banished and imprisoned entity, breaks free and begins a campaign of revenge against those who confined him: the demonic guardian Cerberus and the traitorous angel Sammael. Belial starts his quest by slaying his jailer (later using his severed head as a weapon). As he journeys through various infernal realms and battles hordes of demons, he ultimately slays Cerberus and confronts Sammael in his stronghold. There, Belial defeats the fallen angel and tears off his wings as a symbol of his vengeance.
