Parallel World is a puzzle video game created by EIM and published by Varie. It was launched in Japan for the Family Computer on August 10, 1990. The player and his girlfriend must navigate their way back home after being pulled into an alternate dimension. Their journey is blocked by a grand castle containing 25 unique game worlds, each teeming with enemies. The game features an overhead perspective, allowing players to eliminate foes for additional rewards. With a tight time limit of 100 seconds per puzzle, quick thinking is key to success. The first player takes control of the male character while the second player guides the female. Players begin with only three lives, which are lost when time expires or when a monster touches them. Hostile creatures in the game include springs, rollers, witches, and zombies.
