Parfait: Chocolat Second Brew is a Bishoujo romantic visual novel centered around two cafes vying for customers. It also serves as a follow-up to the well-received game Chocolat ~Maid Cafe Curio~.
Six months ago, Takamura Hitoshi helplessly watched as Famille, the cafe founded by his late brother, was consumed by flames. Though the staff and the memories they cherished remained, without a physical space there could be no cafe. Hitoshi and his team had no option but to say goodbye to Famille. But fortune—or maybe destiny—had other plans. Hitoshi is given a fresh opportunity when a new mall contacts him, offering to host a branch of Famille within their premises. Unable to turn down the chance to honor his brother’s dream, Hitoshi, after a series of challenges, successfully reopens Famille, now serving as its manager. Of course, nothing in life is ever that simple. The new Famille is in chaos, both in the kitchen and among the staff, as two essential team members refuse to come back. Hitoshi even had to put his college education on hold to make the new venture work. Yet the greatest challenge looms directly ahead—Curio, the very cafe that inspired Famille in the first place, has opened a location in the same shopping center, right across from the new Famille. And so, the battle for Famille’s survival begins anew.
