Summary

As you're on the verge of marrying Maia, the enigmatic woman you discovered on the beach, a winged dragon snatches her and vanishes. This heartbreaking event marks the beginning of what appears to be an endless quest through a realm filled with vile beasts and sinister spirits, a tale that unfolds across three generations.

Storyline

The story opens in the city-state of Landen on the eve of Prince Rhys’s wedding to the enigmatic Lady Maia, who had arrived mysteriously on the shore two months earlier. Just as the ceremony was about to begin, the bride was snatched away by a dragon-like Layan soaring overhead, who bellowed, "Filthy Orakian! Maia will not belong to you!" before vanishing into the sky with the captured bride-to-be. Consumed by sorrow and rage, Prince Rhys immediately mobilizes an army to rescue his beloved and eradicate the last of the Layan bloodline. However, his father, the king, intervenes and imprisons him in the castle’s dungeon, urging him to temper his emotions. Soon after, Lena releases him, wishing him luck on his perilous mission to recover his lost love. As Rhys embarks on his journey to find Maia, he uncovers ancient relics from a legendary war and forges bonds with unexpected allies and long-lost companions. The narrative then shifts to his descendants, who take up the tale after Rhys reunites with Maia, gradually uncovering that both their world and its history are far from what they seem.
