Pokémon Box: Ruby & Sapphire (Japanese: ポケモンボックス ルビー&サファイア Pokémon Box Ruby & Sapphire) is a utility for the Nintendo GameCube that is part of the Pokémon series. Rather than being a game itself, Pokémon Box functions primarily as a storage system for Trainers to keep their Pokémon. Trainers can store up to 1,500 Pokémon across twenty-five storage boxes, each holding space for 60 Pokémon. It also allows trading between Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, as well as FireRed and LeafGreen. All stored Pokémon are saved on a GameCube memory card, which requires the full 59 memory blocks for the save data. A special edition Memory Card 59 specifically for Ruby and Sapphire is included with most versions of the game to accommodate this (while the European version typically includes a standard memory card instead).
