Summary
Pokémon Uranium is set in the sunny Tandor region, a tropical haven for over a hundred brand-new and one-of-a-kind Pokémon. The region is famous for its gym trials: to enter the prestigious Tandor Regional Tournament, trainers must earn eight gym badges from across the land. Winning the tournament brings not only a generous prize but also international fame. You are a 13-year-old from Moki Town who never dreamed of becoming a Pokémon Master. Ten years ago, your mother, Lucille, died in a tragic accident at a nuclear power plant. After that, your father, Kellyn, a top-ranked Pokémon Ranger in the Tandor Ranger Union, left you in the care of your elderly aunt before setting off to explore the region. Now that you're older, your aunt can no longer take care of you. With nowhere else to go, you follow the path of many young people and turn to Pokémon training to support yourself. Professor Bamb'o, a leading expert on Pokémon elemental types, is searching for a trainer to help him travel the region and collect samples of its diverse wildlife. You accept the challenge, alongside your rival, a younger boy named Theo. After taking a test and choosing your starter Pokémon, you set off for your first gym challenge in Nowtoch City, beginning your journey through the Tandor region. But beneath the surface, things are far from perfect. Just as the memory of the old accident was fading, new secrets begin to surface. A brand-new power plant is constructed on the site of the old one. Your father starts acting strangely, venturing deep into the region and questioning whether your mother is truly gone. Dangerous Pokémon, twisted by nuclear radiation, begin to terrorize the innocent. Amid the chaos, it seems a catastrophe is on the horizon. You may be in for a journey far more complicated than you ever imagined.
