Summary
American Idol is a rhythm game inspired by the popular reality TV singing contest of the same name. Players can design characters of any gender, selecting from multiple character templates and personalizing them with body type, skin tone, and one of three vocal styles for each gender. Once created, these characters can be used in the game’s different modes. In the main Competition mode, players progress through stages that mirror the TV show, starting with auditions and moving on to live performances and ultimately the finals. Between acts, players can adjust their character’s outfit, hairstyle, hair color, and makeup, as both singing ability and appearance are judged.
