Power Stone 2
Summary
Power Stone 2 is a multiplayer fighting game that expands on the creative gameplay introduced by its predecessor, Power Stone. The game allows up to four players to pick from a variety of characters and use objects like tables, chairs, and rocks during battles. There are four different game modes: 1-on-1: Similar to the original Power Stone, this is a two-character story-driven game. Arcade: A four-character story mode where two characters move forward each round. Original: A multiplayer mode with full freedom in choosing characters and stages. Adventure: A story-based game with unpredictable events, where players can gather items, cards, and money. Power Stone 2 features five interactive 3-D stages to start with, plus two boss stages that can be accessed in Original mode. All modes except Original follow a story format, where two battles take place on regular stages, followed by a fight against the Pharaoh Walker boss, then another battle, and finally a showdown with the Dr. Erode boss. By fulfilling specific conditions in Arcade mode, players can unlock three additional stages for Original mode, as well as a desert stage that resembles the Pharaoh Walker boss stage but without the boss. While each character has basic ground and air attacks, they can perform stronger fusion attacks after collecting three Power Stones and transforming. The game doesn't include a blocking mechanic, but players can dodge by tapping the control pad just before an enemy attacks. Most stages are dynamic and evolve as the battle continues. For instance, the airplane stage begins on a warplane. After a set time, the plane breaks apart, forcing players to fight while skydiving. Later, they land on a floating platform for the rest of the battle, effectively creating three distinct sub-stages in one. Each stage is filled with item boxes containing random items that players have collected in Adventure mode or crafted in the Item Shop. These boxes may also contain Power Stones. The items vary widely: damaging ones include guns, flamethrowers, massive hammers, various swords, bear traps, roller blades, and even a magazine that can be thrown. Non-damaging items include food to restore health, shields for protection, elixirs for invisibility, adhesive sprays to slow opponents, and wings for extra jumps. Adventure mode also features cards that allow players to combine items. Additionally, most stages have unique items and features. For example, the submarine stage includes turrets, small planes for dropping bombs, and icebergs to hurl at opponents. Every level is highly interactive, allowing players to use the environment to their advantage. All players can also gain extra height by jumping off walls.
