Summary
In this first-person shooter, you take on the role of a military specialist sent to investigate strange events in the historic Egyptian city of Karnak. As you dig deeper, you uncover that alien invaders, who have a disturbing habit of mummifying people while they're still alive, have taken over the city. Your objective is to progress through increasingly difficult levels, facing off against a bizarre array of enemies, to finish the game.
Storyline
PowerSlave takes place in and around the ancient Egyptian city of Karnak during the late 20th century. The city has fallen under the control of mysterious forces, prompting a specialized team of elite soldiers to be deployed to the Karnak Valley to investigate the source of the threat. However, during the mission, the player's helicopter is destroyed, and the player narrowly survives. Tasked with entering the valley, the player becomes the hero destined to rescue Karnak and the world. Within the valley, the player faces overwhelming numbers of alien insect-like creatures known as the Kilmaat, along with their many henchmen, including mummies, Anubis warriors, scorpions, and malevolent spirits. Guiding the player's path is the spirit of King Ramses, whose mummified remains were disturbed from his tomb by the Kilmaat, who aim to bring him back to life and harness his power to dominate the world.
