Storyline

When the White House turns to the Scoggins Eraser Co. for answers and only receives cryptic puzzles in return, Nelson Tethers of the U.S. Department of Puzzle Research is dispatched to investigate. The bizarre happenings in Scoggins will test Tethers’ skills to the limit—and perhaps his intelligence as well—with mind-bending challenges around every corner: labyrinths, logic problems, riddles, and more. He quickly discovers that these, along with the town’s oddly fixated residents, hidden groups, and eerie noises from the woods, are all deeply tied to the central enigma. And just what is going on with the gnomes?
