Summary

The menacing Bydo Empire makes a comeback in this installment of the R-Type series. Take control of the newest R-Type craft, the R-90, and power through six side-scrolling stages as you make your way to annihilate the Bydo flagship. The gameplay remains true to the classic R-Type style, featuring massive levels and formidable bosses. Using your removable laser unit, you can shoot in front of or behind your ship. R-Type III introduces three distinct laser unit types, which you can choose from at the beginning of the game. Each provides unique laser capabilities based on the power-ups you collect.
