Storyline

Rakuen is an adventure game centered around a young Boy living in a hospital. One day, he asks his Mom to take him to the magical world from his favorite storybook, where he hopes to meet the Guardian of the Forest and make a single wish. To earn that wish, the Boy must complete a series of trials that involve helping his hospital neighbors by engaging with their symbolic counterparts in the fantasy realm... ...A grumpy old man who fiercely protects a broken music box, constantly muttering about the lack of visitors; a young woman in a coma whose devoted husband has stayed by her side for months; a little girl who mourns a friend she never had the chance to say goodbye to after falling ill… As the Boy journeys through these trials, he begins to uncover that his neighbors are burdened by hidden secrets and personal battles, all strangely connected to the enigmatic hospital.
