Summary
A rift in space and time has unexpectedly opened, and two daring adventurers step through. They find themselves in Har'Akir, a blistering desert ruled by fierce beasts that terrorize the scattered, fragile villages. The only hope of leaving this cursed land lies in locating the Stone Prophet, a towering obelisk etched with enigmatic hieroglyphs. The heroes must uncover the route to this ancient relic, but the vengeful mummy of the long-dead pharaoh Anhktepot lurks in the shadows, observing their every move...
Ravenloft: Stone Prophet follows the events of Ravenloft: Strahd's Possession. It shares the same visual engine and gameplay mechanics as its predecessor. As before, character development and combat are based on the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons role-playing system; the game is played from a first-person perspective during exploration and battle, with real-time combat. Players can either bring over two characters from the first game or create two new ones, with the possibility of recruiting up to four more companions within the game world.
The game’s setting, a desert inspired by ancient Egypt, introduces a new survival element: the need to drink water regularly. The heroes must ensure they carry sufficient water supplies when traveling through the desert or use spells to conjure it.
