Summary

AquaSystem, the developer behind the popular Jet Copter and Jet Stream series in Japan, brings its Rescue Copter to the United States for this PlayStation release. In the game, players take on fifteen unique missions that range from border patrols and high-stakes rescues to transport duties, crop dusting, treasure hunting, and fire suppression. Four specialized helicopters are available, each suited for different roles: the R-22 (ideal for training and crop dusting), the AS350B3 (fitted with cables for external cargo transport), the BK117 (designed for rescue and transport missions), and the 47G4A-Soloy (a low-flying crop duster). Five practice modes help players get comfortable with the controls, covering takeoff and landing, hovering, general flight, cargo handling, and fire fighting exercises. Performance is measured through scores and medals—gold, silver, or bronze—based on how quickly missions are completed, with replay videos accessible with a simple button press. Additional features include two difficulty levels—easy and expert (which introduces damage and wind effects), three camera perspectives, and a free flight mode that uses maps unlocked by completing missions successfully.
