Revelations: Persona is a role-playing video game created and published by Atlus. It serves as the inaugural title in the Persona series, a subseries of the broader Megami Tensei franchise, and marks the first role-playing game in the series to launch in the West. The game was later adapted for the PlayStation Portable under the name Shin Megami Tensei: Persona, featuring updated cutscenes and a revised English translation. The narrative centers on a group of high school students who encounter a string of supernatural events. After participating in a fortune-telling game, each member of the group gains the ability to summon Personas—manifestations of their inner selves. Guided by Philemon, a kind entity symbolizing the human subconscious, the group battles various threats to the world. The gameplay involves exploring the town and engaging in combat using their Personas. Throughout the game, players can develop new Personae for battle by collecting spell cards either through combat or by conversing with enemies.
