A Japan-only Battle Network title that functions as a NetNavi simulator. Rockman.EXE 4.5 is a side entry in the Mega Man Battle Network series. It's a simulation game where NetNavis are managed by the AI, and players "insert" BattleChips and give commands. It was designed to work with the BattleChip toys and the BattleChip Gate peripheral, which likely explains why the game was released only in Japan. While the accessories aren't mandatory, playing without them makes the game significantly harder. The game includes MegaMan.EXE, the twelve Navis who provide DoubleSouls in Mega Man Battle Network 4, and a variety of other Navis. Many of the Navis in this last group would later appear as playable characters in Battle Network 5 and 6. On the PET screen, the background music is a remix of the selected Navi's theme from the Classic series, where applicable.
