KOEI invites PS2 strategy enthusiasts back to ancient China of the second century with the eighth major installment in the *Romance of the Three Kingdoms* series. Staying true to the series' tradition, this latest entry is set during the turmoil marking the end of the Han dynasty. As with previous titles, the ultimate objective remains uniting the fractured nation, and players can assume the roles of a wide array of characters in their quest to achieve this.
Strategy fans can command up to eight distinct characters in a single campaign. The game offers more than 700 characters, with 100 of them being fully customizable original creations. Additional new additions include the ability for more than four factions to clash on a single battlefield and the option to begin the game at any point within a 50-year span—from the Yellow Turban Rebellion in 184 A.D. to the passing of Zhuge Liang in 234 A.D.
Navigate through 54 scenarios and a fictional narrative that includes every officer featured in the game.
