Summary
Alexander, the second expansion for Rome: Total War, is set in an earlier era than the original game, beginning in 336 BC. It follows the same gameplay style as the base game but features a new map, a smaller number of factions, and unique units. Players assume the role of Alexander the Great during his thirteen-year rule, starting with his rise to the Macedonian throne. In this version, Alexander lives beyond his historical lifespan of 33 years, and success in the campaign requires capturing 30 provinces within a 100-turn time limit.
