Saturn Bomberman is an action title developed by Hudson Soft for the Sega Saturn. The twelfth entry in the Bomberman franchise, it made its debut in Japan on July 19, 1996, reached European shelves on May 1, 1997, and arrived in North America on September 4, 1997. The game is most recognized for its multiplayer support, accommodating up to ten players via multitaps. While it was praised for its engaging gameplay and multiplayer features, some critics felt it didn't push the Bomberman series forward enough. Saturn Bomberman also features compatibility with the Sega Saturn NetLink online system, enabling two players from across the globe to compete against each other.
