Summary

Sea Salt is an action-strategy hybrid in which you take on the role of Dagon, the ancient deity of the sea, an eldritch force of the ocean who calls forth unimaginable terrors from the depths to enact vengeance upon the religious figures who have dared to oppose you, and any others who dare to stand in your way. For years, Dagon granted humanity favorable winds for their fishing fleets in return for their prayers and the occasional offering when required. The people happily accepted the wealth and abundance Dagon provided. They understood the cost, but fear took hold of their faith when the time came to fulfill their obligations. The Bishop of the new religion defied Dagon’s will, so the terrors lurking in the ocean’s salt veins will rise to reclaim what is rightfully theirs. Lead a chaotic army of monstrous creatures, cultists, and abominations in this new single-player indie action real-time strategy title. A wide array of terrifying followers awaits to be unlocked and called forth as you journey through a dark, gothic fantasy narrative. Use the environment to trap your enemies, and let fear and the power of surprise become your greatest weapons as you face blood-lusting hunters and relentless bosses on your path to obtaining your ultimate offering.

Storyline

Beyond the gray mountains, the village fisherman gazes upon the radiant golden-spired towers of the grand cathedral as his net begins to brim with catch. He quietly offers thanks to the high bishop and Dagon for their blessings. Returning home, he is greeted by the scent of fish stew and mildew. His wife holds a pale newborn, blessed with ten fingers and ten toes, all joined by a thin membrane of skin. They clasp hands and silently pray for the city's continued fortune... ...and for Dagon.
