Sega GT 2002 is a simulation racing video game developed and published by Sega. It serves as the follow-up to Wow Entertainment's original Racing Game, Sega GT, which debuted in 2002. Initially planned for the Dreamcast, the game was redesigned for the Xbox after the Dreamcast was retired in 2001. After its initial retail launch, it was bundled with Jet Set Radio Future on a disc included in specially labeled Xbox console packages. The next year, Sega released Sega GT Online, which added new vehicles and an online mode compatible with Xbox Live. Although it was an Xbox exclusive, the franchise eventually faded, paving the way for the Forza Motorsport series to debut on Xbox in 2005, with subsequent entries competing with the Gran Turismo series. Sega GT 2002 brought a number of groundbreaking features that would later influence many racing games to come.
